Hi!
I'm Alessandro, a theremin newcomer, and I bought a B3 deluxe theremin.
I'm italian so I bought a power converter, but now I've a problem:when I put on my amp and also the theremin I listen only a strong noise which buries almost completely the theremin soun(which I listen it changes a little bit moving my hand).Even moving the knobs nothing change;also the volume antenna seems to be uninfluent.
I tried the theremin with different jacks and in different places but the problem is the same.
Now I don't know what else to do to play my theremin...do you have any suggestions?!?!
Thanks a lot,
Alessandro

These 220V to 110V power converters tend to transform the B3s into AM radios with unpredictable side effects.

You should rather replace the original power supply by one which suits directly European specifications. If you don't know exactly what to do, feel free to contact me by email: theremin(at)tfrenkel(punto)com

You must then connect the B3 through a shielded cable to an amplifier which has to be grounded through the wall socket (I know that this may be problematic in some regions of France and Italy).

There are no more problems for my theremin...there was only a little problem with the jack input of my amp.
The theremin works very well.

I have a small problem. My b3 deluxe was working just fine until a month ago. I plugged it in today, and after switching it on I can hear one radio frequency. the volume antenna doesnt work. It only produces a sound if I touch the volume antenna. Then I can play the pitch as well, but I have to touch the volume antenna for that. How do I solve this issue?
