I just ran across this ad locally and thought I'd pass it on in case someone is interested. If you are I can ask to check it out for you (I might do that anyways):

The video link in the ad doesn't look to be the particular one for sale, but it sure has a nice violin-like tone:

I wonder how much of the tone is due to the open-backed speaker (if indeed it's being miked there)?

Wow it's hard to watch that video it's been so long ago...LOL!   I bought the theremin on Ebay for around $150 and had it repaired by a retired electronics guy here in Pittsburgh.  I've never been able to tune it to my satisfaction and the range is very limited.  About a year ago I dusted it off and tried to play it again but but quickly put it back up on top of the piano as decor.

Here is a picture of the back of my speaker and at the time I was using a Radio Shack PA amplifier.

I thought the video and your playing were very nice, very expressive! From your picture I gather you play an EPro now so I'm sure the Melodia suffers in comparison. How about the volume plate - does that present a problem for the player vs a loop antenna?

Doh, it's you bisem!  Really nice playing, and that thing has a great tone!

FYI, still unsold. Sounds like you can probably negotiate the price if you want it

The plate is very natural to use and also quite dynamic.

I also have and ES Standard that Dewster sold me along with a Subscope built by Dominik Bednarz and a portable case model I built for busking incorporating a Big Brier EW and a Micro Cube Base RX amplifier.

Any hints on how to insert images using the URL?

Use the image button above the text input area, like this

You need to input the link to the actual image, not to a page showing the image,
for your first image for example, the image link is https://i.ibb.co/D4z3QgR/packed.jpg
which is the link you have to use for the 'insert an image" option.
