New to Theremins, nice to be here!

Welcome Luthier!  Glad to hear that B3 is doing right by you! 

Experience on another glis instrument like trombone, violin, slide guitar, musical saw, etc. seems to be one of the keys to quickly coming up to speed on the Theremin.

Sorry for your bad experience Luthier.  The B3 is RC based, so it isn't as selective as an LC Theremin, and it could therefore be more susceptible to interference.  But all Theremins are quite sensitive to many things going on in the electrical environment, it's kind of a wonder that they work at all with the AC mains field and the mega AM radio stations and such.

I've never owned nor even seen one, but from what I've heard I don't believe you can go wrong with a Subscope, Dominik really knows what he is doing.  The Etherwave Standard or Plus are nice professional instruments too, and sometimes you can find them used for not a lot of scratch.

Well, I found what looks like a great deal. A Big Briar early Moog for only $275. When it gets here if all is well, I may need help with that mod for extending bass and linearity. Thanks for help and support.

I still may pull the trigger on a subscope, as well.
