* "underscoring"—sound effects, dialogue, and additional score. During a performance at London's Royal Festival Hall on the band's recent UK tour, musical director Glenn Max declared, "Pere Ubu has raised the standard for live soundtracks."

Pere Ubu actually was how the theremin found me! They were opening for They Might Be Giants at a show while I was in college, and they held out a theremin (a SWTP or Maestro model, if I recall correctly) so the people on the front row could "play" it during the show. I was hooked instantly and haven't looked back since!
