You're too kind :)  I'm sure the theremin would have found another lifeform as it's host had I not come along.  I'm just thrilled it picked me!

You're right - there are lots of registered users who haven't visited in a very long time.  A one-time mass mailing might be a good way to bring many of them back.  I'll consider that for sure - don't want to run afoul of any anti-spamming laws!

I've gone back and forth on the issue of having front page topics showing up in the forums.  It's certainly possible, but I just have to figure out how to deal with the difference between comments and forum posts.

Let's take a poll - would you prefer to go back to the old site's scheme where instead of "blog post comments" we just kept all conversations about front-page articles in the forums?  Or would you like to keep it as-is with comments on blog posts being different from forum posts?

Let the voting begin!

I am not quite clear, I like things the way they are now. Maybe just have something in recent posts that indicates Front Page has a new entry. Then you click the indicator which takes you to the front page and when you return to Recent Posts the indicator is dimmed until the next new info is posted, kind of how a link works.

Now go to bed!

Hello Jason,

I just discovered something. When I am in Recent Posts I can not create a link to the Front Page. It goes to Forums every combination I tried.

I've seen the same behavior.  I'll take a stab at debugging that.  I'm using a 3rd party component for the editor, and it seems to have a "fix what's not broken" feature that keeps changing links from absolute URLs (e.g. http://www.foo.com/...) into relative URLs (e.g. ..\..\foo.html).

I'm about to upload a fix for the forum posts counts in user profiles.  After tonight, they should be right and stay right as you add new posts.

I'm fine with the setup as it is, with occasional tweaks as necessary...

Jason the Capcha or what ever only shows up when I go to the front page and want to post comment. It will not let me through. It is almost unintelligible and I don't understand what part of the graphic to type, number or screwy letters or both. Then when I try Audio it sounds like whispers from hell and then I can't sleep for days. I have had enough posts so post count can't be the issue.

Currently, comment counts and forum post counts are treated differently.  To make it easier, I think I'll try changing the system so if you have 10 comments or posts (in any combination), you'll no longer see the CAPTCHA.  That should grandfather in most long-term site members.  I'll post that tonight, and please let me know if this makes it easier for you.
