Hey everybody, as the title says my theremin has a 5 pin din female connector.
My PSU has only 3 pins.

My question is, do I have any loss of functionality or are the 2 "extra" pins just fluff?

I have a black moog etherwave theremin standard.

The other two pins on the 5 pin DIN connector in the EW are no connects, so you're not missing anything.

Originally, the DIN socket on the Etherwave circuit boards was only 3pin. But as these were more and more difficult to find, Moog switched over to using 5pin sockets with leaving the additional pins unconnected, as dewster said correctly.
