Hello, Thereminists.
I've taken a leap of faith and have decided to join this small but wacky theremin club by getting an Etherwave, which is on its way (I have 30 days to return if I realize I've made a huge mistake). I will have the videos that it comes with, but I'm looking to get my hand on Peter Pringle's How to Play the Theremin DVD as well since I've heard good things about it on these forums. Unfortunately, I've spent the majority of my money on the theremin itself and don't want to shell out another 35 dollars for it, and it's way too obscure to be able to find on ebay. So I was wondering if there was anybody here who has already learned from the DVD and is ready to part with it. I would be willing to pay around 15 dollars over Paypal, I suppose. If you can't part with it forever, I would consider paying less for it and returning it (in about a week) once I've got a good feel for his technique. Note that selling used DVDs is perfectly legal, and lending it to me could just be considered selling it to me and then buying it back for a lesser price. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Hi!

You might want to consider purchasing the DVD outright. Peter Pringle's DVD is a great service to the Theremin community and you will discover that it is an extremely good reference that you can return to over and over.

The DVD has a lot of interesting background information, too, and is very entertaining. In fact, whenever I put the DVD on the kids end up watching it with me!

Though your notion is to keep the DVD for only a week, chances are you'll want to keep it permanently as a reference.

Best wishes to you.

I think it is time for me to make that leap too.

I have been putting off buying the DVD for a while now but I have heard lots of good things about it.
