I want to produce a video of some compositions, and would like advice -
At present I use Cakewalk Sonar Studio, and use a cheap digital camera to record video and audio of the first 'layer'. I then import this video / audio into Sonar, and continue recording subsequent audi tracks.
The above is extremely limiting - I am stuck with my original take (both video and poor quality audio) and need to get video / audio software which allows me to directly record both video and audio 'takes' for each layer..
Typically, I would have 2 tracks performed on keyboards, and 3 tracks performed on Theremin - Ideally I want to be able to have seperate 'windows' within the final video, to show the elements contributing to the composition.
I am a complete novice on video, and am looking for a software package which is simple and cheap, but which, at minimum, allows synchronous recording of video and audio so that I can (at least) produce a reasonable composite video which I can (with the seperate audio tracks) export (if I need to) to Sonar for final touching up.
Any advice would be most welcome.
