My first ever solo effort "Weights and Measures" is now available in its entirety from Tunenami (http://soiledutilities.tunenami.com/edweird/). The album is based around sonic experiments with a home built analog synth crammed into a 1950's era geiger counter called The Egon. Further dynamics and atmospheric tones were layered in using bass, drum machine, and theremin.
This is technically speaking a "noise" record, but it's certainly not as harsh or as inaccessable as some of that genre would be to the average listener. There is even one track that may make you want to dance! Weird indeed.

Did I mention it's free? That's right you can download the entire record with album artwork for free.

You go now!

I've downloaded it!

I don't have time to listen to it properly at the moment, but I have 3 minutes 11 seconds to spare, so I'm playing all the tracks simultaneously, stretched or compressed to fit the time available, and it is a truly extraordinary sound!

Oh, it finished. Gotta go and un-melt my brain now...

When I mastered it I did the same thing! It did create a not unpleasant cacophany.

Finally got time to listen to it properly! It's goooood! Did you send David Vesel a copy?

(Jumping Steve (http://memention.com/js/), the iTunes visualiser (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDgK_nhOYTs), dug it special and danced wonderfully.)

I am listening to it now and I love it.

If you are ever in North Florida look me up and we can set up a show with you and Cellular Terror and some other noisy friends of mine.

Glad you guys both like it. It was really fun to make. Once I get done with the next As Yet To Be Named record (my group project) I'm planning on doing another one.

As far as doing live shows, I'm planning on working on doing some stuff live, but not sure if I want to actually perform yet or not. I did that for a while and got very burnt out on it. Cigarette smoke aside.

It can be tough.

There was a period in my life where that was all I did for income. That can wear you down pretty quickly.

These days I only do relatively low-key gigs, usually only one two people playing at a small venue.

It's more like fun and less like work that wsy,

I hear you on that. I'm not above doing coffee house gigs, but I'd really rather work in the studio these days. I have more control that way.
