A rare privilege - first post in a forum. I hope I set the right tone. :-)
I hope that this will be, among other things, a place where we can record practical ideas that are fun and effective ways to reach a wider audience for theremin music, small or large.
So, on that front, there's good news, better news and best news.
Good news. There is very little theremin music lodged at the Podsafe Music Network (http://music.podshow.com/) (part of podshow.com (http://www.podshow.com/)) and a host of podcasts registered and looking for something interesting. It's free, no credit card required, your music is available to the public for streaming and to podcasters for download.
Better news. It works! I put Beneath the Cavern of the Soup Dragon here (http://music.podshow.com/music/listeners/artistdetails.php?BandHash=284e09ee377733c6c309832ee6bcc804) and within two days it appeared on a podcast - High Orbit (http://matthewebel.com/podcast/).
Best news. It's a really nice show, at least the one I listened to, music and monologue - intelligent funny chat and good music. And...
You don't actually have to listen to my nonsense because...
He used it as the backdrop to a brief introduction to the theremin, which was well informed and very positive, and included a really good plug for Theremin World!
(Incidentally, my piece was off-theme for the podcast - by the DJ's own description he plays stuff that you can groove to. Perhaps you could post a nice comment for the show on his website (http://matthewebel.com/podcast/) and suggest some theremin music that grooves!)
