...practice while they sleep or are away? - put it in storage so they dont have access to it?
...it's the exact opposite here: my theremin-amp is 'installed' near the piano (to which they also have free access) and while at the moment the EPro is downstairs because i am working on a project, there is the revived PT-03 (mercie Thierry!) and a Gakken Premium (and yes, also the Gakken Mini) available to the kids all the time...and they use them all - thoughtfully, almost daily, respectfully and very creatively...
...given: we have some other stuff they can climb on, so they understood easily that the Theremin is not the best sports-equipement...
...the idea for the instruments and our playing being present and happening in the main living area is that they get the most possible exposition to the music, the instruments and their use - we think that the instruments just are a part of their normal everyday live and that they see that they are part of ours also...
