Here's a service you may not have heard of before.

Scribd is to documents as youTube is to videos.
To set the ball rolling I have placed a copy of Method For Theremin by Clara Rockmore on Scribd.

Now - this is so cute - there's a "full screen" icon at the far right on the tool bar of the document viewer. An expanding rectangle. Click on it to go to full screen mode. Now hover over the word "iPaper" towards the left on the document viewer control bar and choose View Mode --> Book Mode on the dropdown menu that appears. Now turn the page by clicking on the right arrow to the right of 1/16 on the control bar. Ha! The pages flip over just like a real book.
And - just like youTube, you can embed a viewer on your website, blog or social networking site. Here's one I embedded on a myspace profile.

There is a minor bug when embedding on myspace. Scribd is aware of this bug now that I have pointed it out to them and are intent on fixing it. This is what it should look like, and will look like outside of mySpace, and also the code to embed it in your own website etc.

I specified Width 450, Height 575 to make the document pages fit the viewer precisely.
There are some theremin construction related documents on scribd already, and some others that mention it in passing, according to their search engine.
