nature has got us beat. turns out there is a fish, gymnarchus niloticus, swimming in the murky, opaque Nile which can sense nearby objects using ELECTRIC FIELDS. Head positive, tail negative, at 400Hz, it can sense object near it without sight.

I have played the theremin for a year. I have a Standard Moog Etherware and have played two talent shows.

Maybe gymnarchus is "perch fishing".

The first time I saw one of these I got a real shock.
