Hey, I guess I've had my Moog Etherwave Pro for about five months. As usual, my first question was : "How can I make this thing screw up?" And in so asking, the pitch arm seemed a likely suspect.

First of all, tapping the pitch arm causes a pitch jump similar to yodeling. But, beyond that, you can actually get a pretty good tannerin, "Good Vibrations" kind of sound with it. I've even put masking tape on it, hooked up the tuner, and lightly marked the notes of an octave. Of course, this is only accurate when your hand is touching the instrument due to the pitch jump. But it's helped me a lot with learning melodies, etc.
