Not a genuine theremin sighting, and probably not all that surprising. I'm a bit surprised there was no mention of it already.
In the title track of Micheal Jackson's "Thriller" album, there is a rather convincing "theremin" at 3:20 and again at 5:10.
It is clearly a synthesizer, but it is a very good "theremin" imitation.
I haven't heard the track in about 25 years and only recently heard it in "High Fidelity". I guess hearing it on MTV in 1982/1983 on a 1970's era television wasn't good enough to make it easily noticable.
