I'm new to the theremin and have decided to get an Etherwave. Should I spend the extra $60 and get a pre-built Etherwave or buy the kit and risk screwing up my $500 investment?
Etherwave Standard or Kit?

For the extra money of getting a pre-assembled Etherwave, you are buying:
1) Your time you would have spent putting the kit together.
2) The cost of the paint/stain/poly/whatever you would have used to finish the kit.
3) The peace of mind that it will work or you can send it back and it's not your problem.
It's up to you to decide if those three things are worth $60 to you.
