Howdy, folks! Long story short, I'm an acid jazz musician on the prowl for something sharp, and I reckon the theremin might be right up my alley. Right now I'm looking at either the Taito Thereminmin or the Gakken Mini Theremin just to wet the proverbial whistle, after which I intend to purchase one of those lovely B3 theremins. That said, I have several questions!
1. Apart from price, what, exactly are the differences between the Taito and the Gakken? The specifications, I've found, are notoriously hard to come by. Er, at least in English.
2. Can you recommend any other cheap "toy"-style, antenna-driven theremins? I'm talking forty dollars max. I also have a great distaste for soldering.
3. What is the maximum range of the previously stated theremins? Er, in inches, not in a musical sense.
