I am building a tube theremin based on art harrisons "126" design. I ordered the antennae used on the Etherwave from Moog because I liked the shape and they seemed like good substantial antennae.
I am having a problem figuring out how to mount them so I am wondering if anyone can help if anybody has worked with them.
According to moog after emailing them, the little tiny screw in the outside lug they send with the antennae is used to mount the antennae. This doesn't NOT seem right to me, being that the outside lug is threaded, looks to be made for a nut. and the screw seems to hold a solder terminal in place-- which is what I was going to use it for.
Using this hole/screw to mount into the etherwave doesnt seem like it will even support the antenna's, especially the loop one being that the screw and hole are only on one side of the loop antennae. I think this was just a miscommunication from the sales rep from moog and myself.
So I am calling all who have worked with the etherwave and/or its antennae. How exactly do they attach to the etherwave? Have you successfully used it to connect to your OTHER theremins? Please let me know ASAP as I am trying to get this theremin built before I have to fly back to california!! Thanks a lot!
