Sorry for the misleading title. I really meant so say Etherwave Standard upgraded to Plus!
If anyone is looking to do the upgrade in the UK. I bought the kit from here (http://www.thomann.de/gb/moog_etherwave_plus_field_upgrade.htm);
Then found a hifi repair shop that would perform the upgrade,since I wasnt too confident doing it myself. The company was ABX2 Audio and they are located in Glasgow.
First impressions are: the pitch preview works beautifully. It'll really make a difference when playing live, if just for at the start of the performance. I'm going to buy an input selector pedal for the headphones, so I can switch between pitch preview and what the audience hears mid performance. I feel that without this ability, having pich previow constantly in one of your ears could be distracting. It might just be a matter of getting used to it though.
It would have been nice if it were possible to do this via a switch on the theremin, but that would mean having to touch something with my hands mid performance, which takes a way from the "magic".
I dont have a use for the CV ouputs as of yet, but with the right A-D convereter i'll be using it to control my PC (and other devices) in no time.
The finished result:
