So I've had my etherwave for a couple months, but have never really done anything with it cause i've been busy. All that should clear up in a week so i dusted it off and plugged it in.

The tuning is a bit whack. Unless I turn it down all the way, it's actually reverse, with higher notes being further away from the antenae. When down all the way, it reverses to the regular way, but doesn't go far enough. The interval of a major second is about 6 inches from my body, with most of the rest of the 3 octaves crambed into the final inches.

Did I get the wires reversed? Or is there something else I might try?

Hi, I have an etherwave and mine will reverse itself like that on a limited section of the pitch dial, so I readjust it. I find I have to readjust it less if I place the theremin in different rooms of my house. Your problem, unfortunately, sounds much harder to solve, but changing rooms might help.
