An update:
I posted the message above anout playing bass and theremin.
Two weeks ago I played a gig and touched my theremin and my bass at the same time and got a little shock. Nothing major and no sparks flew.
I have had this happen before when touching a microphone and the problem is easily cured by switching the polarity on my bass amp. This time it did not change anything.
For the rest of the gig I had to be careful not to touch the two instruments at the same time.
(I have this habit of touching the volume antenna to make sure no sound is coming out when I turn the Etherwave on or off.)
