Have to say I love my EWPro.
It sounds so great and is so playable; maybe worth trying with closed eyes.
It's great for a cramped apt. too.
Good luck.

I have to agree that I am not the biggest fan of how the E-Pro looks - it reminds me of a reject from IKEA.

But I bought it anyway - I didn't buy it for looks, I bought it because it is a great sounding and playing theremin.

I love it despite the looks.

ikea reject hah i like that...but i have to agree that the etherwave pro is one terrible looking theremin, i even prefer the boring plank of wood that is the standard etherwave to the looks of the pro...but then again i have seen some ugly people with amazing singing voices

you could always recase your instrument. It shouldn't be too difficult to put it into, say, a 1920s radio-case and then it would look more like an original RCA- but you'd lose the warranty.

well he said he had the etherwave for five years, so im guessing the warranty is already gone...and also i think the shape of the etherwave would make it possible to build a new case for it without even removing the etherwave case

It's actually very easy to re-mount the Etherwave. I stuck my first one inside an old Vanguard theremin cabinet. I used dark smoked plexiglass for the front panel (much easier to work with than metal IMHO).

Yeah- if you could get your hands on something like these from a repo dept. then you could easily create an RCA rip-off:

That would look so good. But be impossible to transport anywhere.
