Word on the street is that the Etherwave Pro is going back to direct sales only this Fall. So if you want a discounted price from a retailer like InstrumentPro.com, you might want to jump before they run out of stock.

*Arrgh! My heart!*

So does that mean that they'll only be available from shops- as opposed to internet sites and mail order? Why is this happening?

My understanding is they'd only be available directly from Moog Music. I'll try to get some clarification on the issue. I have no news about any price or availability changes other than this.

Well, Linda just told me today that they found my check, so I guess I'll have mine 'bout the end of the week.

And there will always be the occasional "slightly used" Etherwave Pro on eBay. As a matter of fact the first one just went for the quite reasonable price of $687 USD. I was surprised it didn't go for more.

The top bid of $687 didn't meet the reserve price, so it didn't actually "go" for anything...

However, there's currently another slightly used Pro on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7347738590) with no reserve price.

the slightly used Pro (only played for 5 minutes) is from my town of Orange Ct. It's a small town and i didn't know there were any others of our kind so close. I'll have to find out who it is and see why they only used it for 5 minutes

Ooops! My bad! I guess it helps to read the not so fine print.

Well, if anything it gives you an idea of what some people think an Etherwave Pro is really worth.

Hi all,

I just bought a new Pro on Friday (will receive it on Wednesday -- can't wait!!) I wanted to say that I'm sadly jealous that someone now might be able to pick up the same beautiful instrument on ebay for 1/2 list price! Is it wrong of me to hope that the auction price on this used Pro will soar in the final 24 hours? With apologies to whoever it is that has that total bargain high bid right now, I hope $700 isn't the final-word current market value for our favorite instrument... It's not like I ever plan to sell mine, but it would be nice to know that it can hold it's value a little better than this... I wish I needed a second one so that I could drive up the price myself! :)
