I bought a theremin off ebay. The power supply that came with it says etherwave, but it has 3 prongs. The outlet on the instrument has 5 holes. I can't get it to play. Any suggestions where I can get one that works or modify this one?

hey roony,
it is perfectly normal that the etherwave power supply's connector has only three pins. only those are needed.
i think they only used the 5 hole outlet to be able to use a standard jack for it, similar to those which are used for midi nowadays. (btw: in midi cables there are also only three pins actually used in spite of the five prongs)
so: the problem must be rooted somewhere else.
be sure that the theremin is not seated at a table or on the floor and that there are no objects whatsoever in the immediate vicinity of the volume antenna.
if that does not help, call again.
