Back in March 1986 I was fortunate enough to see one of Eno's generative art installations at the Riverside Studios in London.

If you're not familiar with them, he fills a space with big screens, some turned through 90 degrees for variety, showing slowly changing abstract images that perfectly match the ambient music that accompanies them. It makes for an amazing meditative experience.

And now, if you've got one of those great big flat screens that hang on the wall, you can have one in your own home! Dim the lights - maybe even turn on the Philips Ambilight (tm) that seemed like almost a good idea in the adverts and in practice probably just gives the room a sickly green pallor when you've watching the football with some mates and a crate of beer - and chill out big time, or leave it running for that ever so swanky dinner party for your arty friends in your fashionably minimal penthouse.

Jolly good interview with unavoidable Apple bias (hurrah!) here (http://www.apple.com/uk/pro/profiles/eno/).

Official website with compulsory Flash here (http://www.77millionpaintings.com/).

Inevitable youTube video here (http://youtube.com/watch?v=VRkNrWp6tLg).

Enjoy!

And, of course, Gordon,
Nothing goes better with an Eno ambient visual/audio
extravaganza then the last bit of Uncle Chuck's memorial spliff filler. I think it was in the sock drawer, perhaps two moves ago. Wait--- O-o-oh! Iguess the cats ate it! Ha!
