I'm asking this question here in hopes that those of you with electronics knoweldge might have some experience, or maybe an educated guess, about these kits:

Qkit's Digital Echo Chamber

http://store.qkits.com/moreinfo.cfm/MK182

and

Canakit's Long Delay/Echo Reverberation

http://www.canakit.com/long-delay-echo-reverberation-kit-ck128b-uk128b.html

Fred Nachbaur used a Canakit echo in his PAIA Theremin but it looks to be a different kit than the one now available on their site.

Fred is no longer with us so asking his opinion would be a bit difficult :-/

Anyone have any idea or opinion of either kit? Would these work well with a Theremin or would I better just sticking with a guitar pedal or effect and be done with it?

Hello Ardor,

I have not actually used these products.

The MK182 is a Velleman kit which I have built several. The value for the money is excellent, but they have the worst circuit boards. The board holes are too large for the components and if you had an LED on the board and tried to bend it, the copper clad bottom would snap loose easily and crack away from the board. This makes using their product very discouraging.

I have not tried the other company.

The quality of the parts is certainly important! Thanks for the warning.
