The Arts Alive Jackson gig was a success for world thereminization today as the theremin was well represented on stage throughout the day at Smith Park in Downtown Jackson, MS. Local television station, WAPT even was there to cover the goings on as local artist on both the musical, and graphical side presented their talents on, and off the stage. During their 6PM news cast, WAPT even ran a short clip of me playing the theremin. Unfortunately, I've not seen any clips or photos on their site just yet. Feel free to check out their site from time to time to see if anything pops up that I've missed. www.wapt.com is thier site. I do know they took several photos, so keep your eye out, and post links if you find anything before I do. One of the event organizers took some photos, and she said she'd try to email them to me as they become available, at which time, I'll post.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the theremin. A mother with her kids came to me after the show, and I lowered the theremin so the kid could have a go at it. The reporters got pics of that, so whow knows, maybe that'll find it's way to their site too. Don't know.
