I had the opportunity to noodle on a theremin years ago at Lark in the Morning in San Francisco. I managed to make some Pleasing (to me) noise and not get 86'ed, and somehow knew I would wind up with one eventually. I just picked up a Moog Ewave 50th anniversary edition on ebay which will arrive later this week. I have about a gazilllion questions but will try to limit them. For now.
The manual states that one should not directly plug into the input of a guitar amp but instead use aux in, due to a guitar having a lower output. I have a Fender Gdec 30 guitar amp with aux in, but I need to somehow go from 1/4" to stereo to stereo RCA plugs. If I plug into the input like a guitar will I overdrive the amp?
Also I am a lefty and a woodworker and would like to build a nice custom left handed cabinet. I am a fan of the Arts & Crafts school and I think a mortise and tenon box in oak would suit me. Does a theremin care what kind of box it lives in? I'm hoping they are like hermit crabs and will be at home in whatever fits.
Finally, I have a Boss ME 20 guitar effects processor that I would like to play through for reverb, etc. Is it doable?
