I just finished building my Etherwave std. kit. I have a working theremin, at least the pitch and volume antennas and controls work.
My question concerns the Waveform and brightness controls, which are hardly mentioned in the manual. I observe that the waveform control has virtually no effect at all on the sound, while the brightness control has a very minimal effect, making the sound a bit more "buzzy" at the top end of it's range.
Can someone tell me what these controls are supposed to do and what effect on the sound (or the waveform, I can look at it on a 'scope or an audio spectrum analyzer) I should observe as they are moved over their range? Without knowing what they should do it's hard to know if I have a problem and where to look to fix it.
