I will be building an Etherwave Theremin using the schematic & parts values from the "Customizing, Hot Rodding" document.  I have searched through the forum posts & still have some unanswered questions, specifically about the inductors in the Volume Antenna circuit.

Photos I have seen of the current Etherwave show only 3 inductors for both the Pitch & Volume side, with some posts on this forum calling out the Hammond 1535G 10mH coils for the Pitch circuit, but I have not found any posts specifically saying to use Hammond inductors on the Volume side, or to stay with the Miller coils called out in the original Electronic Musician article.

Here is what I intend to use, please look these over, and correct me where necessary.

L1, L2, L3       Hammond 1535G 10mH

L4                  ---NOT INCLUDED----

L5, L6, L11      Toko 154ANS-T1017Z 47uH adjustable

L7, L8             Hammond 1535B 2.5mH

L9                  Hammond 1535D 5mH

L10                ---NOT INCLUDED---

L12, L13         Bourns 77F470J 47uH inductor

L14                Bourns 77F220K 22uH inductor

C1, C5            3300pF Silver Mica

C14                1800pF Silver Mica

Cheers,

Steve

Your parts list seems perfect to me. Although the Miller coils have the same data sheet specs as those from Hammond, I found that the Hammonds give better results in the EM/Etherwave Standard/Etherwave Plus circuits, while the Millers work much better in the Etherwave Pro.

That's my experience after servicing about hundred Moog Theremins, but I have no rational explanation...
