Dear Theremin World members
I'm posting this new topic because I'm curious as to what thereminenthousiasts might suggest. I'm a scienceteacher in Belgium and I'm wondering what the educational possibilities are with a theremin. We are currently starting with a new orientation for children, wich includes a lot of science. I thought it might be a good idea to use the theremin to explain several scientific principles at a basic level.
A few things come to my mind, but I do not master the theremin like most people on this forum. You'll probably think about other possibilities than the things I have thought of.
Keep in mind that we're talking about children aged from 12 to 14 years old. Not to much formulas and mathematics. Only the basics will be possible, because these children will only work a few hours a week on this thereminproject for like a week or 2 (3 weeks maximum).
Best would be scientific principles that we can find in other examples too.
If you have any idea's, it would be great. The more, the better!
P.S.: I'm a science teacher, not an English teacher ;-) .
