Yeah -

I have a load of musical equipment, analogue synths, digital synths, effects, recording gear.. Enough to equip a small studio.

I have everything for a quality electronics lab.

I need a place for this stuff to be set up so its usable, and I need a small bedroom and access to kitchen and bathroom.

All my equipment would be available for use by whoever shared their home with me.

I would love to be with people who were creative. I am a 58 year old unhealthy git, but in the right environment could become a lot younger and healthier.

I dont have much money, and could end up living on benefits soon, so rent needs to be low.

The closer to Southampton / Eastleigh / Winchester / Hampshire, the better.

Youd need to be mad to take me, but thats an advantage - because I like creative mad people.

Not exactly sure when I will be forced to get rid of my stuff if I dont get somewhere to accomodate it, but its likely to be within the next 6 months - My present new home is too small and with divorce proceedings now in full flow, access to my stuff in my old home is near impossible, and despite having been in this home since 1984, it seems the courts will order me to remove my equipment and clear the room..

Alternatively, I am looking for someone local who would host the studio and lab, be free to use them, and allow me access to them.. In this case I may not need to move from my present "home".

"I wish we were on the same continent, I'd open my home for you..." - Amey

Thanks Amey,

Its "only" my children that prevents me from moving - I could easily find a community in Spain or some other European country which would welcome me and my stuff ;-)

I lived in an "alternative" green community before 1984, and mainly left because of my previous (ex) wife - I love some of the communal aspects, like cooking for 20 people - and at that time getting stoned together.. Also, as one of about 5 people who worked "outside" and whose incomes supported the whole "show" it was tough.. Became almost impossible to balance the demands of work and career progression with the communal demands and lifestyle - I chose the road most traveled on. :-(

Kind of strange to be on the "other side" now - Back then we were reaching out and providing a home for broken people, now im one of the broken ones... But not yet as broken as some of them were. Retrospectively I now think my biggest contribution there was providing reconditioned musical instruments to the "inmates" - One of my biggest satisfactions was the effect a Farfisa Synthorchestra had on a reclusive young man who would only live in an outhouse and couldnt mix with people - Within a couple of weeks he was showing me his progress, and shortly after that started joining our group improvisations - Total transformation.. He ended up "normal", getting a job, buying a DX7 and giving me back the Farfisa, which I still have.. (and prefer to any DX7 ;-)

I try not to call on any karmic "payback" (not knowing the status of my karmic bank balance, LOL - it could still be heavily in the red from past lives or even this life I suppose ;-) But right now I could do with some help - even if this did push me into (or further into) the red.

Nah - I dont believe any of that stuff ;-) LOL
