I need vca circuit for theremin without "ssm2018" because i can't find this ic in my country's market, im choosing digital theremin for my final project if anyone can help me in this project im will be greatfull.thx
Digital theremin
Although the SSM2018 is a honorable VCA circuit, it will, like all other VCA circuits, not fit in whatever theremin. Each one has different input and output levels and impedances, and different control voltage characteristics and ranges.
Matching a VCA correctly into a theremin is a tough engineering job, thus, without knowing more about the instrument where you want to build it in, nobody can give you a qualified hint. Please give more technical specifications about how you will control the VCA, the available power supply voltages, and schematics of what you have up to now.
And if you already choose a digital theremin circuit (which one?), why don't you develop a digital VCA either around a PWM modulator or a DSP?
And still one thing: Most special parts are not available in most countries' local markets. As a circuit designer, you should get used to buy your stuff either in the US or in China, which is nowadays not a problem.
Thanks for your help
this is link for schematic:

im live in iran and right now it's not possible to buy from global site.
i don't have enough experience in making theremin so please guide me for this project
again tanQ for your help.
Oh hell... do not go for that circuit!
It has been discussed often and in an exhaustive manner here on the forums. The Glasgow Digital Theremin is not a circuit for a really playable theremin, it is only a theoretical and academic proof of concept for study and discussion purposes. It's not thoroughly designed, but it is just copied and pasted from the different ICs' application notes. It makes absolutely no sense to try to build it, be it with the SSM2018 or any other VCA circuit. You won't find anybody to help you with that.
If it's just for a school project, you should go for a much simpler analogue pitch-only theremin, which has already successfully been build by many people, and which has especially been designed for that purpose: http://www.thereminworld.com/Forums/T/29231/my-new-year-gift-to-tw-a-new-theremin-circuit
