Control Voltage Theremin

Hello,

I have an idea I would like to pursue and it involves using a theremin to control my synth. I've been looking around and found the Doepfer A-178 which will do what I want, but I would like to make my own if possible. Ideally, I would like to find a schematic of the A-178. I haven't been able to find one yet, their manual does show the pcb layout on page 8 but I'm unsure of the signal path. I know the PAiA Theremax schematic has some CV circuits, but with my limited knowledge I'm not sure if those could be adapted to do what I want. If anyone knows of a "simple" schematic that will produce something like the A-178, could you please point me in the right direction? This will be my first attempt at anything like this and I'm just now learning to read schematics, but something about this makes me excited to try it and learn more.

Thank you for any help.

What exactly do you want to do? How many CVs outs do you need? You might look at the Open.Theremin.Uno first which can give you a single CV out and that project is completely documented being Open Source.

I only need 1 CV out, I have a Moog Mother-32 on order and would like to use the theremin to experiment controlling anything on it that can be controlled by CV. Open.Theremin looks pretty cool, thanks.

The way I plan to use it, I believe a single antenna will work best.
