Which chip?

Hi,

i created simple theremin with 555 timer and two photo-resistor, now i want to make better sound, can i change with other chip? if yes, which one ?

What you are doing is pure blasphemy! 

If you take the output off of pin 2 instead pin 3 you will get a triangular wave, not square. You will then need to drive a high input impedance, maybe a LM386.
