I am still working on this song but now I'm playing on a Moog Etherwave with ESPE01. I like the tone of the modified Etherwave but it's hard for me to play right now. Nonetheless I recorded this:

I'm hoping to get better at playing this theremin and this song!

In front of a camera you're probably doing better than me! I tend to freeze up with just the audio recorder running... I suppose playing the Theremin isn't automatic enough for me yet.
I'm struck by how sensitive your EW is, the tiniest movements cause large pitch changes, though this is normal for analog Theremins. Have you tried sitting down to play in order to better steady yourself?
I gave up on the modified Etherwave. A stock Etherwave standard is easier for me to play (but not exactly easy yet!)
I played this tonight:

Recorded using direct input with a bit of reverb added.
Hi dewster,
Listening to your version of "Ave Maria" now! Very nice playing and sound.
Thanks!
Very nice asterix2k10! That little trill you do so well around 1:00 is the most difficult part of the song for me.
Adding the ESPE01 to an EW should actually open up the low end for easier playing, I'm wondering if maybe one of the coupling caps got damaged, or if it wasn't properly retuned after the mod? Are the modded and unmodded EW's you're playing different instruments?
