Trash it and buy a really good theremin like the Moog Etherwave Standard or Plus.

As it has often been stated in these forums, most Golem theremins are based on the so-called Glasgow circuit. The latter is an academic proof of concept but was neither intended to serve as a base for building instruments since, although technically innovative and appealing for every engineer, the musical aspects (e.g. pitch linearity, anatomic tone spacing, volume dynamic range for sophisticated musical expression) have never been taken into account.

So, these instruments remain relatively cheap toys. And who buys cheap, buys twice...
