Blast of notifications of messages

I was corresponding with people in the message system here and kind of forgot about it, and then yesterday I got a dozen notifications that I had new messages.... from SEPTEMBER! 

Anyway it's good to be back in contact with them. I thought they were just ignoring me!

I just got a blast too!  One was from you!

I think there's something broken in the PM system.

Ugh, sorry about that. I think once I fixed the message notifier, the floodgates opened and all the backed up notifications sent at once.

Hope it stays working, and sorry for the inconvenience.

I'll go back into hiding now.

I'm now getting notifications of PM via email, and the links take me to the PM page, where I can view and respond and such. But when I go up to the top right of the page where it says my user name, with the drop down arrow menu ("Profile", "Messages", "Sign Out") and try to view all of my past PMs I get a blank PM page. I can access some of them by manipulating the number at the end of the URL, but most such fishing expeditions end up on a blank PM page (no PMs showing).

Is anyone else having this trouble or is it just me?

I can see the problem with private messages too, and I'm still working on figuring out what's wrong. Thanks everyone for your patience!
