The greatest thereminist (it took over ten years), no competition at all. 8 octave range, fast real play, staccato, tremolo, vibrato optional, more tonal variation than most others due to interest in processing and pedals, and lots of multitrack pieces. NO BACKING TRACKS EVER; I consider the instrument to be the easiest one to play, consequently, I am well unliked. And pretty annoying! Use angling technique for pitch accuracy and speed. Would have loved to have a theremin ensemble like the Kronos Quartet, but it seems I am on the wrong planet.
