Theremin 008 - Our good old Mate Tony Bennett

and still waiting ;-(

Whereas I appreciate this may take time to build. However, I had mentioned when I ordered this around November 4th. I had Suggested that my birthday falls on the 19th. And was told that the best he could do was the 21st November. Which was fair enough.
Since then, I honestly feel that I am getting blagged with Bullsh*t every time I call. I would of sooner of been given a realistic date. that way, the waiting and anticipation would not be so frustrating.
Maybe tomorrow or Saturday hey ;-)

Once again. I'm sure that I will not be disappointed upon it's arrival

Nope, I am still awating the arival of my theremin. I have been assured though, that I sould get it by Christmas.

I asked why it had taken alot longer than the original given delivery date.

Last year they had around 30 orders leading up to the festive period. This year, they have seen a 50% increase in business. Thus, have had around 60 orders for theremin's and other electrical gadgets that they make.

so maybe tomorrow ;)

Well it looks as if I will have to play with the modulation wheel on my keyboard. and play a VSTi Theremin.

If for any reason Dickie or Tony should read this post at any point in the future. Then appologies that I became you phone pest, left handed nightmare.

I'm just looking forward to the fun and frustration that awaits. ;-)

Was the varnishing, no doubt, white spirit and sanding worth the effort?

My house is Circa 1890, so not massively old. The Floorboards in my bedroom are the original, and some are slightly knackered some ways, I like the rustic look it gives. Needless to say, I varnished and sanded mine, and remember the effort involved.

Last year i got a 008 from no1derland.

The theremin came way after when it was promissed.

well, I finally got my 008 on friday 23rd december.

And will say it was worth the wait


i will give it a few weeks or so before posting any samples of it though

;-)

Beefheart, my last house was built in 1925.

We moved before it was time to re-do the floors so i have not had he pleausre.

I do remember many days of sanding and priming the walls, baseboards and trim, though. That was a blast!

I vowed never to pick up a piece of sandpaper or an electric sander again.

The 008 is a damn good theremin though.
Someone mentioned the fact the the volume and pitch antenna were so close together and that it might cause problems. this is not the case. it's a great theremin for the money.

Can you tell us how long the instrument actually is, so we have a clue of what sort of space you really have to play in?
