No but I can appreciate the choice.
From a audience's point of view, if they've heard any version of her name it's probably Rockmore, and as a teaching medium it's probably less confusing for when people are back home thinking "who was that famous Russian theremin chick?".

They have to make some choices and deal with the limits of time and practical communication. Balanchine said "there are no mothers in law in ballet", there are choices between telling everything and losing the audience or making it work as a play.
At least they do *not* say a theremin was used in Good Vibrations. :~)

See, I would find that a lot less offensive than completely misrepresenting Mrs. Rockmore's life. But I guess that's just me.
