Thank you virani, it's hard to keep track of what's going on in Japan, thank for sharing this find! Charlie's right it's a pretty definitive list of theremin chestnuts. Good info. thanks all. I have to check out that music application too.

Be respectful though with these, Unless you have the mechanical rights (I *think* that's what the copyright for a recording is called) you cannot use these recordings in public performance or post your playing along to them on the Internet or radio. It's not considered a cover if you use someone's recording so ASCAP venues don't cover them I think.

The music minus ones are really well done sets but their performance licensing is high, high, high.
The Takeuchi book has a CD like that with exercises and beginner pieces, also very slow but a fantastic learning tool.

These are very good tools for practice and getting new pieces under your fingers, and with music minus one you can get the score and then record your own backing. It's time consuming, by far new backing tracks take the longest amount of time for me, but gives you a unified personal interpretation, and it's fun to play along with yourself.

I also write, so I will record myself playing piano (my KAWAI keyboard) and then rehearse with myself. It's kind of narcissistic to like your own accompaniment so well, but in my opinion there aren't many performers out there who aren't at least a little guilty of loving themselves just a tad. :O Hey, you gotta have confidence in this business.
