Theremin in Spoilsbury Toast-Boy 1 and 2 (very strange cartoon by David Firth)

Well, there is a disclaimer for a reason.

You guys are reading WAAAY too much into this. If it's THAT upsetting, I can delete the links, or better yet, a mod can lock/delete the thread. Doesn't matter to me. Apparently I chose the wrong audience for these links.

Are you perhaps David Firth ?

If you are, you are a skilled and talented animator / cartoonist.. And a capable musician.. and certainly "Not all bad" LOL! (who is?).

Just a shame that you are using your talent to produce sh** like this, when you could be using it so positively and still retain the desire / ability to shock / outrage / disgust people, and be 'subversive'.

TT - I agree with everything you say here.. but do not think that the scene you refer to would have any influence regarding paedophelia.. Anyone who found that scene 'exciting' is a potential paedophile already... but, in essence, I agree on the principle (I never really noticed that scene - never concentrated on the animation, fortunately) - and I do think there are things which should be censored for the protection of the vulnerable.. Trouble is, who decides what is censored? If I was to be the censor, most of the bible, talmud and the hadith would be banned !

Now I need to go and download some of Clara Rockmore's stuff. That song's going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

Great - Our 'exclusive club' of people with (mostly) good taste,(LOL) is now being opened up to those with absolutely no taste at all (as proven by the fact that they enjoy this Firth filth) .. call me a snob - but putting Clara's creation in a gross animation like that is throwing pearls to the swine.

The ONLY thing of ANY value in the Toast-boy SH** was the Theremin - and that was STOLEN without even the decency of a reference to the fact that it was Clara who performed it.

Firth has just dropped even lower in my estimation.

I wonder if, somewhere in David's childhood, someone mis-spelt his name as David Filth, and it stuck..

I don't know why I'm responding to this completely obvious piece of troll-bait, but I'll bite.

I could give two sh*ts less if you find Firth to be the worst person in the world. You can call him names all day if you like.

But no, you don't stop there - you go on to insinuate that I'm somehow beneath you and the community here for simply liking Firth's animations.

I liked the weird British accents on the roaches and the speakers that pop out of the wall, plus the soundtrack.

I just watched the begining and dropped out when it was about to get dicey (my kid was lurking nearby).

Plus, being a big fan of toast, I had to crack up about that guy's job ;)

No - not "beneath" - simply different. I would not want to associate with people who find the "Toast boy" sh** an acceptable presentation - And I am an extremely political animal - I believe that there are things which influence the direction of society - mind things which eventually play out and affect enough people that change happens..

It is an evolutionary struggle.. I have 'genes' or 'nemes' or whatever which dispose me towards one particular social 'evolutionary' pathway .. Others are disposed towards a different "pathway" .. Eventually, probably long after I am deceased, our tiny contributions to the evolutionary process will determine what sort of humanity and society our decendents inherit.

I do not believe in a "right" and "wrong" direction - I only know what sort of society / humanity [b]I[/b] want for the future.

And the Firth filth is the antethesis of everything I want. I see these type of animations as TOXIC - I believe they lead to acceptance of hopelessness and despair, and reduce sensitivity to actions which (in my world view) should be utterly unnaceptable. Many of these type of annimation are viewed by young people whos lives can be adversely influenced by this shi*, leading to cynicism and pointlessness at a time in a humans life when hope and dreams should be motivating them, for the eventual betterment of our world.
