The sound of a theremin can sometimes be difficult to distinguish from the musical saw. IMNSHO the instrument on the recording above is a SAW.
Pretty sure it's a theremin in this song...

That kid is amazing!
What makes me think it's probably a Theremin is all the other accompanying instruments sound like romplers - the guitar, the upright bass, etc. So the person(s) behind this would be more likely to gravitate to another electronic instrument to add color, rather than a musical saw.
I wonder how many musical saw players there actually are out there? My guess would be fewer than Thereminists?

The vibrato seems too fast and mechanical to be a theremin or a saw. I looked up the band on Wikipedia and none of the musicians are listed as playing the theremin. Lots of synth players though.
