Really? People just wave at me and go "woooeeoo" when I'm trying to finish my sentence.

Generalities can be misleading.

THE FILTER IS LORD. GO JAPANESE ANALOGUE!

I keep meaning to post up my MS-20 patch for making Theremin sound like a steel guitar.

People ask me if I can also play proper tunes, and then shortly thereafter they ask me to stop.

Blessings be upon you, Kevin, for the link to your amplifier info. (Your reply to the "Help me I'm an idiot" thread.) A simple, concise explanation of what to look for in an amp and what may happen if you use mismatched equipment. I'm not nearly as terrified of making a fool of myself shopping for one now.

Think I'm going to go for a keyboard amp instead of a PA for now. :)

Torn between the Crate KXB100 and the Roland KC150 both going for the same price. >.<

All your info has been great guys, Thanks.

The Crate and the Roland are both nice amps. I liked the crate because of the effects loop, more wattage, and a 5 band E! instead of a 2 band.

I also liked the fact that it can be leaned back to aim the sound at my head.

They also make one that does not lean back, the KX 100. It has everything else that the KXB has.

Having made my pitch for the Crate I would still say to try them both out before you buy.

I don;t think you can go wrong with either of them.

Old Peavey keyboard amps from the '80s are plentiful and cheap. They work great. You should be able to find one for $100 or less.

Englightenment, please: what are you all using the abbreviation "FX" to mean? Being from the medical world, I know it to mean "fracture," but that clearly is not the case here!
