My Theremax project

Post some vids to Youtube when you are done. I'd like to hear it.

I have a page on my web site for my project; that's easier for me than YouTube. Photos will definintely materialize within a week (maybe tonight, but no promises; and I have to work through the weekend). With Gordon's help I believe I know how to get the sound into the computer, and I once before managed to post a sound file, so I can do it again. The sound clips definitely won't happen before next week, but if it works at anything like the first try I will at least post a note about whether I am pleased or not. The amp/PA system I bought has a bunch of effects preprogrammed, some of which sound like they might be interesting. (Various types of reverb, of course, but also choruses and various additional voices like a third or a fifth or an octave up or down.) No tunes will be available for some time, though. Unless a traveling thereminist happens by, that is.

And thanks for the parts offer. PAiA send me everything on the cuff, though. (Although I did send them a bit and plan to send a bit more.)

Oops--When I tried to attach the theremin to the photo tripod I discovered that I had not made allowance for a sort of rib on the mount. I will have to chisel out a matching slot on the bottom of the Theremax. (If anyone ever notices it I will naturally brag on it as an example of my foresight...)

You have created a very nice Theremax. I especially like the plastic screw-driver attached to the back wall of your cabinet--- you will need that item periodically to retune the circuit board inductors as they age.
I am looking forward to the data that you may reveal as the pitch rod inductances are varied.

The trimming tool (and also the clips) are from Radio Shack. The tool came in a set of three; a very small metal blade set in a plastic tubular handle, for a modest price. Thanks for the positive strokes.
