Hi Don, Somehow missed this posting.. I was in South Africa when I played with these transistors - Mid 60's I guess - some were Mullard (U.K.) but others were from the likes of National, GEC, Raytheon...

Anyway - I have pasted some photos temporarily on my site - Here (http://www.therasynth.com/html/temp.html) I will probably remove them in a few weeks..

The Theremin sounds great - Bass in particular has a really pleasing growl compared to solid state Theremins I have heard.. Yeah - that valve distortion really does add something to the Theremin sound..
