Does the theremin make you a better musician?

kkissinger, I find myself doing that on bass sometimes (hitting a random note and then trying to resolve it).

There are a couple of songs we do where there are some very loose, unstructured noisy sections in the middle.

I will usually hit a random note or two high up on the neck and then come up with a series of other notes that bring it back where it needs to be.

Sometimes on the theremin I will do the same thing (but not usually on purpose).
