This is not any big deal... your zero beat point is 3" from the rod. A slight adjustment to L2 should place your "zero beat" point farther from the antenna. Of course, you can fine tune zero beat with the front-panel pitch control.
When you adjust L2, set the front panel pitch control to the center position.
