Digital Multi-Tracking

Well, I finally got around to recording the theremin on this thing and I must say it reproduces the sound very nicely.

I still sound like crap.

I put a theremin part on one song in just a couple of takes and then went on to a more complicated piece that only had Bass, light drums and vocals.

I have an idea in my head about a pretty complicated backing melody line but I keep flubbing different parts.

I have to rehears it a few dozens times and then I will try again....

I was going through some old posts and I realized that I hadn't ever gone back to the track I had been working on when I originally posted this.

I have not been recording a lot of theremin lately but I have been on a bit of a gear buying spree.

In the last two weeks I have picked up a second Korg DDD-1 drum machine (with the almost mythical sampling board, which I had never come across anywhere before), a TR-606, a TR-808, and (of all things...) a genuine Minimoog!

Some of these items may be for sale in the near future as my recoding room and garage are becoming full of old musical gear and the wife is anxious to be able to park her car in the garage at some point in the future.

Alas, there is precious little theremin on any of them as I have hardly not-touched it in months...

I did drag it out last week for a gig so I will be tracking some theremin stuff again soon.
